Abstract
Between Lustosa e João do Planalto the art of politics in the city of Guarapuava (1930-1970) is the result of a work related to the political trajectory of a man deeply connected to his hometown. Most part of his life, Antonio Lustosa de Oliveira dedicated to projects he believed could change the unfavorable circumstances in which Guarapuava was involved. Being this belief so intense his life story can hardly ever be disconnected to the historical time lived by the city in his time. At a first sight what seems to be an ordinary trajectory, common to the well-born citizens, whose social and familiar bonds have facilitated the access to remarkable positions in society, gains new features when on examines the literature produced by him. Such literature has made hum unique. Journalism and other literary work produced by him about Guarapuava impress for the intensity of how much they illuminate its history. This perception has guided the selection of the study subject in this work that is rooted in the evidences that author and work are bounded to provide a certain part of a period and a way of looking at this period curbed by the 1930 and 1970 decades. More specifically it aims to recover the character s view of world to which the embedded speeches in his literary and journalistic production are essential sources. Such sources reflect the game of local power and the dimension of how much this game has been affected by events at the national and state levels, allowing us to understand the political atmosphere in the city and how the character was placed in this environment.
