"Com licença, eu vou a luta!" : o desafio de inserção das mulheres da periferia carioca no mercado de trabalho

Abstract

This dissertation presents a post-fact evaluation from a theoretical-methodological perspective - in a quanti-qualitative approach - about a employment generation and income project for women over the age of 40 in Acarí, an outskirts neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. The main objective is to contribute in a critical way to the learning process and reflection on public politics that aim at equality of opportunities for men and women in the labor market, and gender equity as well. The prime issues are organized into three points: 1) The historical analysis of the Brasilian female citizenship constitution; 2) the warmth of organized actions of women and their heavy and growing insert into the labor market; 3) an evaluation, according to the beneficiaries perception, of the project "Com licença, eu vou à luta" ("Excuse me, I will work hard") which was set up and implemented by the City Hall of Rio de Janeiro; and, 4) at the end, the presentation of reasons that provided gender public politics elaboration in the employment field.
