Title: QUALIDADE DAS CONDIÇÕES DE ENSINO NO PROGRAMA DE INTERIORIZAÇÃO DA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL FLUMINENSE: UM ESTUDO DE CASO COM BASE NA AVALIAÇÃO DOS CURSOS DE ADMINISTRAÇÃO E CIÊNCIAS CONTÁBEIS, EM MACAÉ - RJ

Abstract: Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) always had a vocation for interiorization mainly for being created at the time of the old state of Rio de Janeiro, before its merger with the state of Guanabara. The development of the first interior units was at Padua, Campos, and Volta Redonda. The implantation of the courses of Degree in Mathematics (Padua), Social Service (Campos), and Engineer (Volta Redonda) is related still, to the first moments of the new federal unit. Only in the nineties UFF would return to the interior with the creation of the courses of Education in Angra dos Reis, Administration (Management) in Macaé and Itaperuna, and Accounting Sciences, in Macaé and Miracema, and, later in Cabo Frio. To implement the Unit of Macaé it was signed an agreement that would be renewed every two years, where it would fall to the federal institution the "didactic-pedagogic organization" of the faculty and the complete programming, similar to the central headquarters in Niterói. The Municipal City Hall was charged with the building of the new Unit with the respective facilities as UFF took the responsibility for implanting the computer science laboratory and the library with the respective total assets. Fifteen years later, several groups of Administration and Accounting Sciences ingressed on the professional market. An accomplished evaluation seeking to know the students' perception in relation to the quality of the courses offered to them was quite satisfactory, when considered the level of the teachers' knowledge and the supplied contents. However, they made severe critics to the facilities and computer science equipments, as well as to the bibliographical total assets. Teachers also presented a favorable table of the courses considering students performance. However, they made critics to the computer science laboratory, not updated and insufficient for the number of users. When interviewed about the issue, people that participated directly of the implementation of the courses also revealed critics in relation to the conditions of the facilities and total assets. The agreement should be reviewed. UFF and the Municipal City Hall should look for a definitive model for the Unit of Macaé, in a possibly partnership with Petrobras.
