Abstract
The emergence of new companies contributed to the development of organizations as well as
the increase in job training. This demand specialized and technical in many cases is not found
in traditional institutions of learning. There will be a real need to develop multipliers of
technical knowledge in the organization. In this context, the goal of this research was to
identify the process of measuring the return on investment in training implemented by Vale
with his class of multipliers of knowledge of railway operation. The theoretical basis, were
adopted topics related to knowledge, training, corporate education and the return on
investment in training. The motivation for this study and awakening occurred as a result of the
measurement, analysis of return on investment after the program of professional training,
applied for dissemination of knowledge critical. Based on the themes presented, it was
produced a qualitative research, drawing up a case study, composed of collecting data through
semi-structured interviews, direct observation and documentary analysis. After the data
collected, was identified and described in the workflow of the process of measuring the return
on investment used by the company Vale in the analysis of the class of railway operation. The
result showed that the organization invests in constant training, evaluation process develops
customized to meet their demand for measurement, based on processes of world reference.
