Abstract: There are no statistics data in Brazil in order to measure and evaluate the Consumption Accidents, although it is estimated a high incidence, with strong impacts into our economy and into Brazilian citizen s life. In this research, it s presented the applied methodology to obtain information on this subject, and the discussion about all obtained data as well, considering national and international levels. A representative of a customers protection civil entity was interviewed in order to know the society s version about this subject. In this job, it s researched the incidence of this kind of accident, based on registers of the United States of America, United Kingdom and Brazil and its impacts, also we present how to identify a consumption accident and its interpretations through Código de Proteção e Defesa do Consumidor (Brazilian Customer s Defense Code) and the involved companies responsibilities. The research is concluded showing the impacts of this kind of accident, still not known by most of people and by the Brazilian Government.
