Due to the large territory, Inmetro opted for a decentralized, delegating the implementation of the metrological controls the State Metrological bodies - known as Ipems, Office of Weights and Measures, which are part of the Brazilian Legal Metrology and Quality (RBMLQ - I). In view of this delegation, the institutes operate throughout the country. This research is focused on the monitoring of administrative procedural acts performed by a body of RBMLQ-I, seeking to measure the time between the drafting of the tax assessment to the stage of registration in Cadin. We conclude that this time can be reduced with the implementation of a management system based on goals, serving as a parameter for future work in other bodies of RBMLQ-I, suggesting that the activities in the context of legal metrology and follow the dictates law, common to all Ipems.
