|Abstract:||This work analyses the hospital accreditation, quality management and the role of the manager in this process in two hospitals in the state of Rio de Janeiro, being, thus, a comparative case study. The approach allowed us to know that, even applied in a diversified way and without similar lines of direction, the relation between the quality management and the achieved results keeps relative proximity and assumed changes that produced satisfactory results by the attendance increase, the unsatisfactoriness pointers reduction and the possibility of prognosis for future difficulties that might be faced, so as the continuous maintenance of the adopted procedures as an instrument of obtaining positive results.|
