CONSTRUÇÃO DAS IDENTIDADES E INTERAÇÃO EM AMBIENTE DE CONFINAMENTO
Abstract
This work had as objective analyzes the processes of identity negotiation developed by the workers of a petroleum platform in the year of 2006, in a period of fifteen consecutive days. The data for the research was obtained through recordings of the participants dialogic interactions, following an approach socialinteractions. The chats were transcribed and analyzed using the codes of transcription of Atkison & Heritage, 1984 and Tannen, 1989. Considering that the social identities are built in the interactions and in all the social situations, people are agents in the production of the image that they build for themselves and for the other (Ochs, 1993). In this interactive context, we noticed a type of behavior adopted by the participants that always happen: the "simulate provocation", or the taunt", present in most of the contexts where the workers were filmed, whose term used in English is teasing (Keltner, Capps, et al., 2001). The constants mutual provocations and the relief showed clearly to us that in that environment the workers live under great pressure and, allies to the impossibility of leaving the workplace for fifteen days, we detected a specific type of identity: identitylimit".
