MUDANÇA COMPORTAMENTAL DO CONSUMIDOR A PARTIR DE SACOLAS PLÁSTICAS: INICIATIVA EM PROL DA SUSTENTABILIDADE EM COMUNIDADE CRISTÃ

Abstract

This research deals with the degradation caused by plastic bags in Brazil, culturally assimilated, whose disposal occurs on a large scale without management or restriction, generating an unsustainable cycle of great socio-environmental impact, especially by the potential for income generation and social inclusion inherent of managing solid waste. The issue is addressed from the standpoint of the transition to sustainability, where concrete actions are required for change the scenery, positioning the education and participation of society as strategic factors. Considering the high level of consumption and the uncertainty about the investment in the area of waste, it is proposed an experiment, of mobilizing a group of Catholics, focused on knowledge aiming to stimulate environmentally responsible behaviors.
