AVALIAÇÃO DO DESEMPENHO DE DISCENTES NA DISCIPLINA ADMINISTRAÇÃO DOS SERVIÇOS DE ENFERMAGEM NA MODALIDADE DE EDUCAÇÃO A DISTÂNCIA.
Abstract
The object of this study is to evaluate student performance in the subject of in Nursing Services Administration of (NSA). In distance learning mode (DLM), facilitated by information technology and communication, which has been seeking alternatives to reverse the traditional education scenario. Currently, a dialogical and problem-solving education is searched, in which the teacher, acting as a mediator, will help the students build their knowledge. The concepts of interaction and interactivity have their theoretical basis on the reporting process, mediated by interactional constructivist/ theory. The aim of this study is to analyze the performance of nursing students, in different shifts, in the subject of NSA their grades in the DLM. The study was conducted with students taking this course in the second half of 2007 presencial modality and the second semester of 2009 in DLM. According to the results obtained, the mode of teaching with the best performance was at a distance. It was found that the type of education did not influence the number of abandonment. In relation to failures in the presencial modality was found that 26,66 % % of students in the morning were in this situation and 5.17% of night shift. DLM in the percentage of disapproval during the day was 22%, and the night was 26.41%. In this sense the DLM students flunked more than the face, which indicates the need for a reconfiguration of management tools, strategies for evaluating and mentoring in the discipline studied, for what is expected of the DLM is the optimization of results student performance. I conclude that the assessment of student performance in distance education courses requires special considerations to get the students, not the ability to reproduce ideas, information or views, but to develop critical autonomy. After a year of its implementation, needs improvement, where teachers and students indicate the difficulties imposed by the platform and facilities, adjusting the virtual environment to achieve an effective assessment of procedural skills and competencies proposed for nursing education.
