Educação física e formação do trabalhador: concepções e lugar da educação física na formação do trabalhadordo ensino médio do CEFET-Química/RJ

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyse and understand the participation of the physical education area or discipline in human formation, in this case, the worker formation of Cefet Química School in Rio de Janeiro. We started rescuing the historical conception of work and education from the point of view of the workers and the bourgeois class. In the first case we rescued the original formulation of the polytechnic concept, originated in the XIX century and its historical modernisation in the XX century proposed for Unitary School through the complexification reached by the population increase and by the technological development. In the second case we showed how workers develop their knowledge and how their knowledge is expropriated in benefit of capital. The usage of the Human Capital Theory by the bourgeois class, who converted education of determinant in determinate of the access, permanency, mark and social mobility by the economic factor, completes this scene. We brought back the historical past of the professional education based on three authors since the Jesuitical work, the Arts and Offices Liceus and the professional process of the imperial Brazilian army. We tried to give visibility to the bourgeois professional education project with its main representative agency of industrial capital through the Industrial National Confederation (CNI) since its origin to the fordist and flexible accumulation forms to ratification of the international treaties that our country has signed. Approaching our object, we depth into historical determinants of physical education and its utility by capital to conform a new type of worker and its productive needs. We tried to show how the movement and worker body are submitted to the capital interests, without forget, however, about the possibilities we have to overcome this model by a contra-hegemonic form. The approaching of the body question as an alienated structure by capital and as a possible structure of overcoming of this alienation was developed by some authors, up to the possibility of the utilisation of physical education in the concept of body culture, intending the Human Formation and its utilization in the school. In the Cefet Química School, aim of this study, we intended to determine through interviews and documents the perspectives in relation to physical education in the scope of this discussion concerning to its centrality since fifty decade (Estado Novo) until nowadays. The institution s historical evolution was object of our attention to that we could understand that reality and we could understand the concept of the physical education in that totality. We conclude that the physical education teacher s group, as the institution in general must conscientiously and intentionally define a pedagogic project to clarify the physical education and professional education it truly assumes.
