Abstract: By almost two centuries industries and workplaces has been changed, and therefore, it merges a demanding for an organizational safety culture, leading safety, health and environmental subjects to be faced as integral core values, and became as part of the whole corporate business. However, to reach adherence of a culture comprising a health, safety and environmental (HSE) topics at the organizations, requires settlement ,commitment and involvement from all stakeholders. Although accidents have been demonstrated important decrease through its absolute occurrence numbers, it is still happening, and resulting in losses, injuries, and environmental aggressions. It means that procedures and controls itself are not enough to avoid this undesirable events. It is necessary to introduce the human factors inside the safety managements systems, as per as humans represents these system s master axle and lead it into an excellence plateau. The objective of this research is to present a behavioral tool applied to workplaces and its contribution to reduce accidents and other bad events. This presented behavioral tool it is focused in people behaviors and attitudes at workplaces and as HSE s management systems, involves people, the tool s influence is very important. Behavioral aspects shall be evaluated and measured in order to achieve the interaction between management systems and its performance. It will be studied the tool s application into industrial segment, specifically one concerned naval construction, which activities has been increased , after twenty years of dawn, stimulated by the arise of oil and gas offshore activities, worldwide. The great number of employees associated to an activities hazards justified the research and make it comprehensive. As an strategically methodology the author opted by a case study in the scope of a shipyard besides to contribute the understanding of individuals , socials and organizational phenomena , it allows approaching subjects related by the theme , sustained by theory (YIN, 2001). As a result it is desirable the contribution for a better comprehension of how behavior tools might exert influence the HSE s management systems and its performance.
