DE MUCANDAS E SÛNGUIS, UM TEXTO DE RESISTÊNCIA UMA LEITURA DO ROMANCE A CASA VELHA DAS MARGENS, DE ARNALDO SANTOS
Abstract
This work is a reading of the novel A casa velha das margens (1999), written by the Angolan writer Arnaldo Santos. Its objective is to show why is possible to consider his novel as a "text of resistance", because it recoveries, in subject and in discursive construction, some important movements that confronted the colonial practice. In addition to making reference to historical events and figures related to journalism and literature of the late 19th century to the 20th, both activities that questioned the colonial order, the text makes use of the aesthetic seeds sown by those intellectuals, because it is built on the dialog between the sûnguis, moments of oral transmission, and the writing of mucandas, which means the letters of people from Ambaca
