|Abstract:||We seek, in this thesis, to analyze the Revista Moderna, Luso-Brazilian journal with a circulation in the late nineteenth century (1897-1899), to demonstrate its importance to compared literary studies of the Portuguese language. From the discussion about the vision of its main contributors, especially Eça de Queirós, and the material published in this luxurious journal. Seeks to question the points of view of those intellectuals who have aimed to introduce to the Brazil and Portugal the modern world , developed and industrial, but also their problems, deficiencies and inequalities|
