Formação baseada em competências: um estudo de caso no Curso de Graduação em Administração

Abstract

The National Council of Education established on July 13, 2005, the resolution No. 4, establishing the National Curriculum Guidelines and, through Article 4, the skills that the Undergraduate Course in Management shall provide its students throughout their training, in order to supply training based on competency. In this regard, the present study has as its main purpose to analyze how the skills proposed by the National Curriculum Guidelines are addressed by the Undergraduate Course in Management and developed by trainees. Therefore, the following objectives were defined: to analyze the level of importance of skills; development by trainees; satisfaction with the pedagogical aspects facing skills development; and the approach of skills by the Educational Project Course. The present research, quantitative and qualitative, was performed using the case study, in which a questionnaire was used during a field research to collect data from the trainees of the Undergraduate Course in Management, as well as document analysis to verify the relationship between skills and the course. The results showed that, in general, the trainees attribute a high level of importance to the skills proposed by Guidelines; trainees consider to have developed most of their skills at a satisfactory level; pedagogical factors, although most have been satisfactory, require a special attention; the Educational Project Course takes into consideration the theme skills and presents its own relation of skills to be provided to trainees, relating with the skills defined by the National Curriculum Guidelines.
