Abstract
The objective of this study is to compare the perceptions of teachers, students and the Ministry of Education (MEC) in relation to the quality of Cefet/RJ. In this sense, the hypotheses were developed: H1 - there is a difference in perception between teachers and students; and H2 - there is a correlation between the perception of the MEC and the student. For hypothesis H2 calculations per course based on the information of students were conducted, the teachers were not considered because they are associated with more than one course. This descriptive study , carried out through a case study of ex post facto, made use of a quantitative approach.In general , representative samples of students and teachers of undergraduate courses were used in classroom mode to provide a degree of evidence as to their opinions. Indicator of the Conceito Preliminar de Cursos (CPC) of MEC was used as the perceived quality of the MEC. The data used to measure the perception of students and teachers were from research conducted by the Comissão Própria de Avaliação (CPA) for the period 2009-2011 in a similar Likert scale. Regarding H1, the difference between students and teachers in 2009 was not significant, but in 2010 and 2011 the difference was highly significant. Regarding H2, weak negative correlation was found, however, was not significant. Students generally rated the institution best teachers. It was found that the perception of quality in the checked items, slightly increases from one year to another, both for teachers and for students. Data analysis in the three years 2009, 2010 and 2011 can contribute to the analysis of the next triennium with respect to the parameters of discussion, correlation and interpretation.
